Meeting the Community

Community events are wonderful opportunities to meet community members, share information, and learn more about nearby organizations. RotaCare Northern Peninsula recently participated in 5 local events:

Daly City Parks and Recreation’s:

  • Fun, Safety and Health Fair (August 5)

  • Latino Heritage Month Celebration (September 23)

  • Filipino Heritage Month Celebration (October 14)
     

Holy Child and St. Martin Episcopal Church’s

  • Free health education forum October 1st Nutrition talk hosted in collaboration with Seton Medical Center and Filipino Mental Health Initiative of San Mateo

  • Free Annual Health Fair (October 21)
     

At the Daly City Parks and Recreation events, RotaCare Northern Peninsula volunteers Shiobee Paningbatan (RN), Branden Manuel (EMT), and Don Reyes (EMT) offered blood pressure readings, blood oxygen readings, and distributed flyers about RotaCare as well as health education handouts about blood pressure and healthy eating. Clinical Coordinator Maddy Mumm gave a nutrition talk at Holy Child and St. Martin Church and participated in the church’s health fair.

RotaCare Northern Peninsula Free Medical Clinic provides free medical services to people who do not have health coverage.

Clinic Hours:
Mondays, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Walk-ins and Appointments are welcome.

The clinic DOES NOT provide the following: routine physical exams; evaluations/paperwork for school or work, DMV, worker's comp, or disability; emergency care; women's health services; STD testing; specialty care; chronic pain management; medications; TB tests and immunizations/vaccinations.

The clinic DOES NOT have a pediatrician.
