Fun for the entire family at Davis Street’s 3rd Annual Health Fair

On August 14, 2017, RotaCare San Leandro participated in Davis Street’s 3rd annual Health Fair, which was attended by over 1,000 people. It was a lively day packed with fun for the entire family, including a farmers market, complimentary medical and dental screenings, live food demos, games, and prizes. There were special features, such as a bouncy house, miniature ponies, face painting, and pedal-powered bike blending, for the kids to enjoy.

Booths were also set up to connect people to dozens of community resources and service programs in the Bay Area. Many were given information on RotaCare’s free medical services that we provide to people with no health insurance, including the “Shot Month” we are currently hosting to provide vaccinations for uninsured children going back to school.

The event was a great opportunity for us to connect with people in need and spread the word about the great resources we have in the community.
