Concord Free Clinics – Two Locations
Sina Abadinaeini has been with Rotacare Concord since May of 2019. He has been a wonderful resource for our clinic not only because of his dedication and dependability but also because of his passion to serve the underserved.
Prior to the pandemic, Sina volunteered consistently at both our Tuesday and Thursday night urgent care clinics. His enthusiastic demeanor and self-directed work ethic were instrumental in successfully opening our clinic each night.
While Sina primarily scribed for our providers, he was helpful in every other aspect of clinic operations including breaking down the clinic at the end of the evening, often being one of the last volunteers to leave. Additionally, Sina oriented many of our new volunteers in the protocols and workflow of the clinic. Specifically, he became an “expert” user of our electronic health record system and trained many of our newer scribes.
Since the pandemic, Sina remained active at our clinic and was instrumental in helping us transition from in-person encounters to scribing remotely for our providers during our telehealth visits. Then, when we restarted in-person visits he was with us every step of the way as we adjusted to the new normal of providing healthcare in the midst of COVID-19. All of this while maintaining his paid work, applying to medical schools, and honing his culinary skills.
Despite a recent move to Arizona to pursue a Masters in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona - Tucson, Sina continues to volunteer remotely as one of our scribes when his schedule allows.
Sina is a dependable, highly intelligent, and compassionate volunteer. He exemplifies every quality that makes for a successful health care provider and he will make an excellent addition to his chosen medical program in 2021.
We’ve been so fortunate to have him and while we will miss him, it is our hope that he will return to RotaCare Concord as a volunteer provider someday.
